Receiving Awards Depends On Who Knows Your Story
Most organizations give out awards
There are many awards given out
Everyone probably deserves an award of some type. Some people who have made notable achievements receive many awards throughout their lifetimes. Many never get public recognition for anything they have done even though they may be deserving.
People who compete in sporting events and other competitions often receive awards for their efforts. They are recognized for achievements they have made. They are honored when they win. Many other awards are given out to people who served without being in any competition or who expected no reward.
In order for anyone to receive recognition through an award, someone in charge needs to become aware of the person’s story. Someone may bring the matter to the attention of a person who will be choosing awardees.
Awards are often given out to people who are not famous or well known. They may be people who have done something outstanding which has never been recognized previously. The people witnessing the award may think that they have never heard of this person. It may be that the awardee has lived a quiet life of service which is deserving of an award. Someone finally may have recognized it. Ordinary people often will receive an award.
People serve and help others every day without any fanfare. They may never receive an award, but they might if their stories became known.
Congratulations to all those who have received awards throughout their lifetimes. Also, congratulations to those who deserve awards but never received one. You have made the world a better place.
