Being ok with what’s unknown

I sit here in my quiet house.

It’s so quiet I can hear the dog breathing on the rug and the trucks rolling down the road outside.

Our family has met a milestone. Both kids are officially in school full-time.

“Now what?” I think to myself.

I sit here with many thoughts and few actions all at once.

It’s indeed a quiet moment of uncertainty.

My default is to push against it.

Instead, I think I might surprise myself and embrace it.

I want to sit in this moment of uncertainty for a little while longer.

A new season is here.

It’s ok to embrace what seems unknown for the time being.
