Trying Something I Have Thought About For A Long Time

First Attempt — Thanks for the Challenge Weed & Wildflowers!

This was done in response to a July drawing challenge by Dennett and I thank you for it.

I found some beautiful Blue Jay feathers in our back yard last year while walking our dog, Benson and have thought about attempting to draw a feather ever since.

As with so many dreams I kept putting it off and making excuses. Then I read Dennetts challenge and told myself I have to do this. Make this first attempt at drawing something and move on to that feather.

There is artistic talent in my family. My brother used to draw and had some of his drawings published with articles he had written, one of those being in Audubon magazine many years ago and then some of his photos and then his continued writing with over 100 chldrens books published.

Both of my sons have great artistic talent and now my granddaughter was just accepted by 7 different colleges and received a nice scholarship from her first choice in their Art program.

So is there some talent lurking inside of me if I just give it a try? Worth a try, right? If nothing else it is luring me out of this funk I have been in. No excuses.
